Our 7 all time favourite CHOCOLATE recipes
Last week we learnt something new. Something that made us really, really excited. We learnt that you, our awesome tribe, LOVE CHOCOLATE AS MUCH AS WE DO!! When Brooke shared her amazing homemade salted almond chocolate recipe on social media last week, it went bonkers! It was shared over 700 times on facebook and we had comments and emails coming through all day telling us how much you loved it. So we decided that perhaps it was time to share with you our favourite and most popular CHOCOLATE recipes. If you’re not a chocolate fan – then we suggest you look away now!
1. RAW CARAMEL SLICE – Our number 1 most popular recipe EVER!
Sal created this epic recipe years ago now. A friend had suggested to her that she should try and ‘healthify’ caramel slice. So the next day while the twins were snoozing, she set to work on creating a slice that would hopefully blow her friends mind! Needless to say that it absolutely did and it’s continued to blow 1000’s of minds ever since! We’ve seen it recreated so many times but we love it just the way it is. This slice stores for ages in the freezer and it’s the perfect treat to share with friends and family.
2. CHOCOLATE BEETROOT CAKE
The cacao and beetroot in this cake may seem a little odd but trust us, it’s like a match made in heaven! The beetroot helps create a beautifully moist and decadent cake that is free from gluten, grains, dairy and refined sugar. It also makes gorgeous little cupcakes that taste AMAZING with a dollop of cream!
3. SALTED ALMOND CHOCOLATE
This was the super simple recipe that sent everyone crazy on social media last week. It is so easy to make and after you try it, you may just never buy chocolate from the shops again!
Gooey chocolatey goodness is the only way to describe these amazing brownies. They are free from gluten, grains, dairy and refined sugar and they taste incredible! They are an absolute family favourite. You can find the recipe in our Sweets Ebook here.
5. CHOCOLATE BLISS BALLS
Who doesn’t love a quick and easy bliss ball? These little chocolate balls are really easy to make and are so versatile. Use whatever nuts you prefer or if you are looking for a nut free treat simply substitute the nuts for a combination of sunflower seeds, pepitas and buckwheat kernels.
6. CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
This is one that we get comments from parents about all the time. They love it for the kiddies! It’s a chocolate milkshake made with real foods! It’s simple, fun and delicious.
7. CHOC HAZELNUT TART
Nutella?? Who needs nutella when you can enjoy this beauty instead? This nutty tart was a favourite for Christmas last year. We received so many photos of it taking centre stage on Christmas tables! It’s free from refined sugar, grains and dairy and we guarantee it will have your guests begging for more! You can find the recipe in our sweets ebook here.
